Meet the staff

All our staff have amazing and interesting background stories that have lead them to be a part of the Sunrise family. One of their distinctives is their longevity and commitment to the social and emotional wellbeing of those in their care.

Sunrise is honoured to have each and everyone of them as part of our work.

Senior Staff

Having spent over 30 years in China.
They first approached the Child Welfare Institution back in 1992 to offer their support, from there Sunrise has become what it is today.
Jeff is a keen hunter, Carol loves to cooking authentic Italian food.

Having her own family live with the Care Leavers has given our participants a real understanding of what life looks like as a family.
Miss Ma is patient, kind and firm, all great skills for her role.

She is invaluable to Sunrise in coordinating with Government Departments and officials, overseeing the annual accounts and keeping her finger on the pulse of all the latest laws and cultural trends.
She loves running and eating frog hot pot.

Making sure the day to day tasks are completed and staff and infants are well are her primary roles.
With 18 years of experience in the room her expertise is invaluable.

Overseeing work schedules, training and finances. She is the key link between Sunrise Management and the Sunrise Early Years Room staff.
Karen has 23 years of experience in the room and has seen made babies go on to join their forever families.

Rose is Miao minority and comes from a village close to the City.
She feels deeply for all the little ones she cares for.

As well as her regular responsibilities she also oversees the Sensory Evening activities that all the babies and children participate in.
